Okay, here's what's going on. I've got two pieces of two Teen Titans episode files (The End pt. 3 and How Long is Forever) on my timeline next to each other. Save for length, they both have the same properties. Both are Xvid MPEG-4 Codec videos, and both are MPEG Laver-3 audio codecs. Now, what's happening is that when I render the video as a .wmv file and try to watch it in Window Media Player, the parts from "The End pt. 3" will play, but when it gets to the parts from "How Long Is Forever" it simply shows me a blank screen.
Now, I've heard from a few people that Xvid isn't the greatest thing in the world. So, if anyone could help me solve this problem and point me in the way of a better codec to use, it'd be much appreciated.

1. lagarith is a better codec to use but it makes big like xbox files so you want to take clips of what you are actually going to use and disable the audio if you really don't have much in the way of hard drive space.
2. did you change the speed or playback of one of the clips? if so disable the resample

1. I'll try to encode it in lagarith. Is there any particular way that is best to go about it? For that matter, how DO you go about it?
2. No. I cut the clip directly from the episode in the trimmer, placed it on the timeline and trimmed it further there to synch with the song lyrics.

1.
2. okay well keep that in mind if you do change clip speed in Vegas.JaddziaDax wrote:open the video file in virtualdub mod go to video->compression->Huffyuv or Lagarith
then go to file->save
use those to mark the beginning and the end of the "clips" you want so you can save room

Using Vdub to compress as a Lagarith fixed it. Thanks.
