What DVD ripping program should I buy?

I'm in a bit of a bind. I want to buy a program, to rip moives and put them in an .avi format, but there are SO many different types for sale. I want one that won't compromise the video quality, a good one for a decent price. I was just wondering which ones you use, and how you rate it (to help me choose). Thanks for your help. ^_^

Don't buy. Plenty of great free ones, like DVD Decrypter for example, that comes with the AMVApp.

DVDfab is a good choice, but i would suggest looking at the free version of it before buying anything.

I also use DVD decrypter from the AMVapp. I think most people here use it.
