Even though the gamecube is dead, and I doubt anyone wants this. I thought id give it a try. I did this on accident. All I wanted was to extract the music from the GC ISO. X_X Was that so much X_X
But first you should dump your GC game on the computer so it can be usable.
1. Have a wii. Go to http://softmii.org/v2/downloads. Download this and follow the instructions exactly as they say you dont want to end up brinking your wii X_X
2. Asuming you already have the HBC installed. Copy dvd_dump_v1.2 into your wad directory. Install it and you will now have dvd dump as a channel on your home screen.
3. DUMPING

Open DVD Dumper using HomeBrew Channel or the DVD Dumper Channel. You will asked for your dump method (SD, USB) or (WiFi Connection) I choose SD. It will then ask for the disc type. GameCube, Wii Single-Layer, or Wii Dual-Layer. So for the only Dual-Layer game is SSBB, so for any other Wii game, choose Single-Layer. After you select the disc type, insert the disc and let it load, after it loads press any button to continue. GC games are about 1.5 gigs. Be sure to have a large sd card lol.
GameCube games usually take 40 - 50 minutes.
Wii Single-Layer usually take 1:30 - 2 hours
Wii Dual-Layer can take up to 4 hours.
After you got your GC ISO take out the SD card and to the computer it goes!
4. File hunting- Open up your ISO with GC Tool v1.2 And look in the file directory. Now you can see all the files in the disk. You can see the art work, fonts, SFX ext. But you want the FMVs. I only tried this with mega man collection, but any FMVS are in the BIK format.
After you found the BIK you want, click on it and select extract. After a few seconds its on your destop. To make is usable, you need to be able to play it.

5. Converting- Use rad video tools http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm
Open the BIK files in it you can play them if you like to see whats on it lol. And pick convert file
Now that you got your new huffy file feel free to do what you want with it lol.
See its not so hard extracting GC FMVS. Its ripping the ISO that takes a while X_X
Im trying to find the Melee Op. Its a mess trying to find it X_X

Re: How to rip game cube FMVs. Reals simple ^_^
Ripping on a computer is also possible, though it requires the use of one of a very specific few DVD-ROM drives, all of which are long discontinued. Hitachi manufactured all four of the drives, which have the model numbers GDR-8161, GDR-8162, GDR-8163, and GDR-8164. I found mine on eBay for about $30 a year or so ago, so they're findable. A program called RawDump 2.1 (or 2.0 will also work) will create the ISO from the disk in about the same amount of time as the Wii/HomeBrew Channel method.
Also, not all GC games used BIKs. In fact, games that did were rather rare. Most Cube games with FMVs (and some Wii games, too) use THP, a form of unescaped MJPEG. Those are readable by ffmpeg, so you can ffmpegsource() them pretty easily.
A couple games (like Tales of Symphonia) use a format called H4M, which doesn't have any decoder available yet, and there are a rare few games (SC2 is the only one I can think of off the top of my head) that used SoftDec files, which is in ffmpeg, IIRC.
There's one more format I'm aware of that only SSBM used, as far as I know, MTHP. It has the same video format as THP, but has a slightly different file structure (and no muxed audio). Unfortunately, that format isn't available in ffmpeg yet (an incomplete patch has been submitted to the ffmpeg-devel list, but hasn't been accepted yet, as it still needs some work). The opening for the game is the MvOpen1.mth file, so you know.
