Search engine for finding songs YouTube's content ID blocks?

Post by kiyablossom » Wed Feb 17, 2010 8:12 pm

Is there a search engine or website that will tell you what songs you tubes content ID system* will block?

For example: I search Linkin Park- "Numb" in the search engine/website, and the results will tell me whether you tubes content ID system will block it or not block it (or something like that)

I need to know so that I know what songs I can and can't use in my amvs that I want to upload to you tube.

*content ID system - used to block or mute music/video content that is in the system as copyright.

Even if there was such a system, if a music label decided to pull out from YouTube, your videos would end up muted later anyways. Also, limiting your creativity to what will play on YouTube is just silly. Yeah, it'd be nice to have your videos on YouTube or other high traffic video sites. However, what we are doing is still technically illegal, so be glad all this free hosting is available in the first place. Don't get caught up in the popularity contest. Just make videos and have fun doing so.
