Corrupt File
I have a corrupt Gankutsuou AMV that I did awhile back and I need it to work just well enough to replicate it, at the very least. My computer was hit with a virus soon after I made it so I don't have any additional copies. Oddly enough, it says it's a WMA? WTF? Insignificant at the moment, though. The problem is I can't access it or open it in any way. Every time I right click on it, even, all programs associated to accessing it freeze. The one time I did get it to work, media player said error C00D11B1. I've looked up how to fix that and none of it worked. I've been looking for WMA repair tools, but I ain't willin' to spend $30 to $40 to fix 3 minutes of material. I need help. Anyone know how to remedy this issue?

Re: Corrupt File
WMA is just audio... perhaps you accidentally renamed the file extension and that's why you have issue. Perhaps try just renaming it to .WMV? Probably just useless, but let's start from somewhere. :\

Re: Corrupt File
A quick Google for that error code resulted in hits for DRM-encrusted WMA files. So either A) it's DRM'ed and you're SOL, or B) WMP just thinks it's DRM'ed, for whatever reason. B might be fixable, A isn't.

It's a WMV. It only thinks it's a WMA. I checked the extension via movie maker, but couldn't get it uploaded... -_- EVERYTHING trying to access it freezes. I'm thinkin' I may need a repair tool, but it ain't worth $30 or $40.

Grab MediaInfo, and open the file. If it says the file is encrypted/protected/has DRM/whatever, you're screwed. No repair tool will fix it (and nothing else can either), and you'd be wasting your money. If it says it isn't protected, then use ffmpeg or something similar to convert it to something that isn't Windows Media.
