Having Issues Ripping Air. Funimation Complete Series Boxset

Post by TwilightChrono » Wed Jun 09, 2010 4:02 am

This is driving me nuts. I've never had this much trouble with a damn DVD before.

Everytime I load up DVD Decryptor to get it to rip, It either stops Parsing at the 16th IFO or it will read everything fine, but if it reads everything fine, and I commence with ripping the DVD, Decryptor stops dead in it's tracks, eiter only ripping 1,387 KB and stopping compeltely and just sitting there till Error screen appears, or it just won't rip at all.

I've tried DVDFab as well, but DVDFab just fails to register the DVD's at all. And these are brand spanking new DVD's. Not a damn thing wrong with em.

Help?

Ok. I'll give that a try. How would I go about turning the iso into a .vob though?

F-This Friggin DVD SET. AnyDVD, DVDFab, DVD Decrypter, Ripit4me......GGAAAHHH!!! None of it friggin works.

This Boxset isn't worth shooting myself in the head over. I can't get this thing to rip for the life of me. And I know it's not my computer or my discs, as the discs read just fine. Even on my friends computer. Just won't rip.

I encounter the same problems on the same programs on my friends computer as well. If anyone can help me, that's fine, if not, then screw it. This boxset and the anime contained within each DVD can kiss my ass.

Let me guess...Viridian Collection?

It's ARccOS or other crap doing it. Apparently there is a solution for Mac, but good luck on Windows. Are you sure that DVD Fab and AnyDVD are the latest versions available?

As for the ISO thing, if you actually got one out of the process, then mount it using VirtualCloneDrive or use WinRAR to extract the entire filesystem (.VOB, .IFO, .BUP, the whole she-bang) out of it. Then point DVD Decrypter/SmartRipper/DVD Fab/whatever at the folder (or mounted drive) and let them handle it from there.

The solution for Mac looks like it could work on Windows ─ IFO Mode in DVD Decrypter, I would guess.

If you do a full disc rip in DVD Decrypter and it doesn't work, then IFO mode won't either. IFO mode needs to read the IFO files for indexing, to see which VOB files to access. If it cannot parse the 16th IFO, it won't rip what is indexed by it. The MTR thing linked above is more similar to the PGS editor in IFO mode I guess. That way you can export specific VOB files while bypassing the IFO altogether, if you know which ones you need.
