Does anyone know why Vdub might not recognize codecs? I upgraded to the latest Vdub last night and my 1.5 version saw everything that k-lite installed but the latest wont...
Anyone have any idea why? I can't seem to figure it out. Just trying to compress a large AVI to a smaller mpeg4. Any help would be appreciated.

eww...K-lite
note for the future: if you start having problems with codecs, ditch k-lite

Re: Vdub wont see codecs?
I am using windows 7 64 biit...shouldn't I be using a 64 biit codec?
I also tried an xvid codec by itself and that didn't work either. With vdub 1.5 I had all codecs available and now nothing...

Re: Vdub wont see codecs?
It doesn't so much matter if you have 32-bit or 64-bit codecs with win 7 64-bit. What does matter is that you match your codecs to your program(s). Install 32-bit codecs to use with vdub 32-bit, etc... (yes, 32-bit programs run just fine on win 7 64-bit)anurok wrote:I am using windows 7 64 biit...shouldn't I be using a 64 biit codec?
