Sorry if I seem really newb, but I am really just new to the whole AMV making thing. I just completed my first AMV and I would like to burn it into a DVD as a submission to a convention AMV contest. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but how do you burn DVDs? What programs do you use?
I have the Cheetah DVD Burner program on my computer, but I don't think it's Windows 7 friendly ^w^;; It keeps crashing on me.
Thank you!

You burn DVDs like you would burn toast...in a toaster. :p
Personally, I use imgburn...but anything that lets you make a data dvd should work(which should me almost every program).
Also, moved to general video because I couldn't think of a more suitable place for this.

Conventions have specific format requirements; if a 'DVD' is acceptable, it probably means 'DVD-Video' 99% of the time. You need to look at doing an MPEG-2 encode compliant with DVD-Video specs, and then use an authoring program to create the necessary file structure (sometimes both of these steps can be combined, as there are several 'one-click' DVD authoring programs out there like AVStoDVD, although it can just do a pass-through and skip encoding anything if the video/audio content is already compliant). Then use ImgBurn or the burning program of your choice.

Re: Burning DVDs for convention submission?
Most con requirements spell out "DVD complaint MPEG2" if that's what they want. If they don't say "authored DVD", they don't want an authored DVD, they want data burned onto a DVD. If you're running windows 7, you don't need any software. Drag the files onto the disc and click the button to burn them. It's the same as burning a data CD under XP.
