Codec suited for Iron Chef editing

Hey there,

Next weekend I will host a real live Iron Chef tournament at a convention in Vienna. This week I will prepare all the footage. I just don't know which codec to use here. What are your suggestions? My favorite so far would be mpeg1 in SD quality.

I would like to provide 20 animes to the contestants with a couple of episodes per show.

I prep everything in HuffYUV for my events. We also have dedicated 3TB externals for the competitors, though...

Well, my event only has 2 teams. We also have, IIRC, 4 copies of the AMV archive (on 15 TB of external drives), but those are personal drives owned by Lantis and myself.
