FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It allows two computers connected over a TCP/IP Network(example: The Internet) to transfer files.
Two things are required for FTP to work:
Server computer running FTP server software.
Client computer running FTP client software.
Most likely you will need a password and username for that server. If you're want to know what server to use. Well most people must purchase hosting from a hosting company. This doesn't work out most of the time since AMVs move so much data that it's not profitable for the hosting company and they kill your account due to "abuse of terms of service". Usually citing that there is copyright materials in what you produced.
There is also the GoldenDonut/Carrot. In the Member Section there is a option to "Upload Your Video" in the list on the left hand side. This allows you to upload your video to animemusicvideos.org. Instructions are on the the site.
