audio ripping from roms

Is there anyway to do it? I'm trying to get the first bosses theme. Does anyone know where I can find it or a program I can use to extractr it from a rom?

It'd be a bit more helpful if you meant what game, what platform and what emulator that rom happens to be playable under.

Can't you use the Windows Sound Recorder? (I think that's what it's called). Supposedly, it can record whatever sounds your computer is making...but I've never gotten it to work on my computer. But then again, some of my sound has been messed up for awhile.

or instead of finding a program to extract audio files out of that ROM
you can always try downloading the specific song from a site that has the game's media files already in a audio format for you to listen to (like a fan site of that game)

by the way, what game are you talking about?
