@theUnlimited
need more info of your steps, you followed exactly ?

@suntyger
i suppose you divide the iso into parts ? the files could have been seperated halfway too.

Actually, I tried it without splitting the iso first. Then, when I only got the 8 videos, I tried it again with the file split, and found the same 8 videos. I've tried ripping the DVD image with two different programs (DVD Decrypter and Isobuster), and any way I try, I get exactly the same results.

i've ever had any problem with scanning....

so how about the hex way?

get an hexeditor. load one of the unaltered extracted files into it and use the find function for the top hex header and bottom.

i think it should be

000001BA4400 ( i could messed this up with sofdec, do a check)

for head

and
FFFF000001B9 (pretty sure its right)

for the end.

there might be fake ones. so you need some logic finding it.

ok, i did a test, if u decrypt with dvddecrypter, with no no file splitting, it will put the ISO in a winrar archive(i have no idea why, but i only got rar install) and the hidden file/data won't be scanned) though it is there, it is still hidden, just like in the dvd. when split, You'll get ISOs that are scanable.

Shirohamada: Thanks for the explanation of hex editing--I've seen people mention it, but I couldn't find instructions for doing it anywhere. I've got the rest of the videos now.

And for anyone else who might want to try it, the beginning string for the FFX-2 videos is actually 000001E00FFA8300.
