Decompressing .vobs into AVI

Post by DuskvsTweak » Sat Jan 15, 2005 9:49 pm

I used to use Pegasus Imaging's PicVideo M-JPEG 3 to compress avi's using DVD2AVI but I need one that will stop leaving a logo on my videos. I have DivX and 3ivX but I do not know the settings to get a compressed avi and a good looking video. If anyone can help out it would be great. Thanks.

the mjpeg codec will leave a logo unless you pay for it, which you can do...

most people that make avi's out of their VOBs to edit with (i assume thats what you are doing), use the huffyuv codec - part of the AMVapp

VirtualDubMod and/or w/AVISynth. HuffYUV. Then compress to XviD. All in the AMVapp. Refer to the guides to know how to correctly do these things.

ffdshow contains the lavc mjpeg codec, which is of course free.
