Original Audio Popping
One thing that I noticed in some CD's(like Chevelle's)is that the original audio on the CD has some pops and breaks in it. Is there anyway to fix these problems up or is it just an error that was made by the recording studio that cant be fixed? Thanks

when you load the sound file into a wave editor, can you actually see the popping?

yes load the file into a good wave editor, sound forge is amazing for this type of thing.sixstop wrote:when you load the sound file into a wave editor, can you actually see the popping?
you can zoom into the wave form and literally cut out the offending pop's and crackles. this is a long winded way of doing things and sometimes the crackles can be to big to remove without leaving a jump in the audio track.
Ideally you need a Desser or De Popper such as Waves X-Crackle

If your source is popping it may be due to a damaged CD or a dirty laser in your CD drive. Or problems in your speakers connection to your computer.

Its not that, brand new cd's, brand new dvd/cd roms. No matter what I play it on(CD Player, PC, Stereo, Car)I can still hear it if i listen carefully.badmartialarts wrote:If your source is popping it may be due to a damaged CD or a dirty laser in your CD drive.
