I need help splitting video into clips...
I'm beginning work on a new project, and have just ripped the footage I'm using to my computer from a DVD. Problem is, my editing program imported the thing as one huge clip. I've never had this problem before, so obviously I need help. So how can I turn it into many small clips?

You can open your file in VirtualDubMod and cut what you need from it: there are two "Start offset" and "End offset" buttons, in the tools available at the bottom of the VDM window, that allow you to define a section of the loaded file.
What would probably be best is then to add it to the jobs list, when saving it (in "Save As", check the "Don't run this job now... etc etc" box); do that with every segment of file you want to cut. Once you're done, press F4 to open the Job control window and click start, all jobs will then be processed and saved all at once (and save the job list, too; this way, if you ever need to rip and cut this file again, you won't be bothered).
