Converting OGG to MP3

Post by squall1986 » Thu Jun 09, 2005 12:35 am

I'm having trouble with BeSweet converting an OGG file to MP3. I set it all up, and then start it, but then it crashes. Anybody help?

i think we need a little bit more information.

what kind of converstion are you doing? CBR VBR?

also what bitrate of mp3, and what version is besweet?

you might want to try reinstalling the oggvorbis codec as well.

Can't help you with Besweet, but I can point out other options.

Audacity works great for editing and converting audio. To convert into MP3 it'll prompt you to locate the Lame .dll file, which you should have somewhere on your computer (winamp?) You can dowload it from Download.com, just do a search for it.

Or, I tend to use CDex for quick conversions or doing batches. It is, however, redundant because you'd have to uncompress your .OGG into .WAV and then recompress it into .MP3. You can also download it from Download.com or cdexos.sourceforge.net.

There's my two cents, good luck.
