You have to set the audio settings every time you start a new movie project. The sound does stay off on the project you're currently working on (as long as you save it that is).

You can also right click in the audio stream just under the video stream in WMM2 and select, "Mute." Using this you can cut the clips and leave in sound where you like.

still nothing. i have windows XP home edition.... i set the audio thing to audio track & it just keeps playing the sound well, whats better than windows moveie maker? just tell me the name of whats better than that WMM & where i can get the software.. as a matter of fact tell me the best one you now. plz
