Editing in DV
After editing a video using uncompressed clips and compared that to a friend that did all his editing natively in DV, I find myself wondering why I did it. After doing some research on DV I can now edit in DV 24p. It's less painless and saves up on space. Are there any other editors out there that edit mainly in DV?

You'll lose some color data, but I've been compensating with slight adjustments of saturation and gamma. Reds can still be a problem.

I once tried using Uncompressed 8-bit instead of DV, and to be honest I barely noticed any difference. I've always been editing natively in DV as it gives almost lossless quality at a substantially small file size, perhaps not so much with live action footage, but with animation you'll barely notice a difference. Also I don't know what software you're using but with Final Cut it gives an option of rendering in high precision YUV DV which can usually help clean up the loss of colour data, as opposed to standard RGB.
