How do i get rid of subtitles in my vids?

Post by Shadow Lurker616 » Wed Jul 12, 2006 10:16 am

My episodes have subtitles...is there a way in adobe premier to get rid of them or cover them up?

The obvious way is to stretch the image and move it down so that the subtitles get cut out of the screen.

The best way is to quit being cheap, stop using hardburned bootlegs/downloaded fansub footage and buy the DVDs

Hey, they could always be using VHS. You never know. I highly doubt it, but it's there.

VHS still exists? If they're using VHS they're also cheap :)

Yes, VHS still exists. Which is why I keep an editing deck. And not all series, especially older and more obscure ones, have been transfered to DVD. If anything, it can take more effort to find such a source.

The official release? Well that sure sucks.

Do you live in Japan or something?

Some DVD releases (such as Utena, Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemy, and the original Evangelion release) actually do have hardcoded subtitles.
