Merging/Joining Clips

Post by SrgtWilco » Tue Feb 27, 2007 12:55 am

Is there any way to join clips together using VirtualDubMod? If not, what's a good program I can use to do this?
Murphy's Constant: If outcome may = A or B, where A=Good and B=FUBAR, anticipate B as most probable result.

Sure, but couldn't you do this in whatever video editing software you have?

Anyways, if they are AVI files, preferably lossless (Huffyuv, Lagarith, Uncompressed), you load the first clip. Then go to File > Append segment... The limiting factor in using this technique is that the segments have to have the same formats/properties (codec, resolution, frame rate, etc.).

Another method is using AviSynth, but it's a bit more complicated. I haven't done it in a while so I'll have to get back to you on the script syntax.
Having trouble playing back videos? I recommend: Image

Using AviSynth, yes. I believe this is the page you'd want to read up on:
