BeSweet trouble

Post by Dark Confusion » Tue Mar 20, 2007 4:01 pm

(If this is not the proper thread, please move it)

Alright. I have downloaded the AMVapp available on this site, and I am now trying to convert an audio file to MP3 file.

But...it just won't work! (shocker...)

Here's how it looks like on my BeSweet settings;

This is the log afterwards;
Using hip.dll v1.19 by Myers Carpenter <myers>
Using lame_enc.dll v1.32 (8/8/2003), Engine 3.90 <http>.

Logging start : 03/20/07 , 21:24:34.

Quiting...

Logging ends : 03/20/07 , 21:24:34.
Now, I might also mention; the .wav file was originally a .wma file, but I just changed the extension. So can that have something to with the problem?
If so, how do I change the wma to wav, or can I go directly from wma to mp3?

And what does
Error 47: Error with LAME dll!
mean? And how can I fix it?

that would be the problem. besweet isn't meant for reading .wma files.

if you are using audio from a CD, you should rip the CD to .wav, not .wma, using Exact Audio Copy (included in the amvapp). if you are using a .wma file as your source, you can try searching for programs to convert wma to wav and use dbpoweramp (in the amvapp) to compress the wav to mp3. you do lose some audio quality by doing this, but it shouldn't be noticeable.
