Video Problem Frames: interlaced Maybe??

Post by deanic » Fri Mar 30, 2007 3:46 am

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone here knows how to fix a Video footage problem im having? Ive extracted the FMV off the game disc called Drakengard 2 (PS2 PAL AUS/UK/NZ Edition). The problem that im facing is the playback of the video, when i watch the clips on my computer screen and also when i play the game on the PS2 the video frames start flickering, it like 1 every 2nd frame. I thought it was interlaced but its not. It could be that i have a faulty game disc (unlikely cause it can play on PS2). Any ideas on how i can fix the problem? I will post the images here:

My guess? It's probably due to this being a PAL version with 25fps video.

Have you tried deinterlacing it anyway?
Having trouble playing back videos? I recommend: Image

I'm not familar with the PS2 ripping process but is there a way to select an angle to rip? In DVD Decryptor, if a DVD has multiple angles and you rip it without selecting the angle you want, you will end up with the symptoms you mentioned (at least when ripping in file mode).

Probably because there is one file in the game that is the original Japanese Trailer/intro and it doesnt stutter/flicker at all. the fps of that is 30fps and the rest is 25fps.
