Re: HELP ME PLEASE! ONEGAI!
Well, first you need a computer (I'm assuming the one you're posting on is yours). Next you need a video editing program, footage, and audio. If the computer that I'm assuming is yours operates with Windows ME or XP, it should come with Windows Movie Maker, which isn't the greatest, but it's better than nothing. Footage can be gotten from DVDs, but you'll need a DVD-ROM drive, and audio can be ripped from CDs, but you'll need CD-ROM drive. After you tinker with that, you'll need an internet connection (I'll assume you have one, since you posted here on the computer I assume is yours.) With that you can upload your video to this site's central server, the Golden Donut, by following directions on this site. Make sure your video doesn't break any of the server's rules. After that, it's done! Make your next one!kawaii_baka_neko wrote:Could someone tell me please (sorry for this mess, I am in a hurry) if I can make amv's and then put them in the internet or do I need something? I am a newbie with this amv-stuff so if you could help me?

You might really want to read the guides in the Guides section. Very useful and important information in there.
Japan isn't paradise. Neither is America. A lot of people seem to think one or the other is, but in reality they are both just countries with a different history and culture, and essentially the same kinds of people inhabiting them. They have a lot of things that we can learn from, and vice-versa - and it seems that both business and general culture have gradually grown toward embracing this idea over the time since the Second World War. It is important to remember that, while they are very impressive in some areas - their low crime rate, relative economic equality, a widespread respect for others, society, and tradition, an exceptionally high-performing educational system, and the biggest economic success story I can think of in recent history (despite the post-80's stock market crash and recession, which hit us pretty hard, too), America's got a few nice features as well - a more individualistic culture encouraging open personal expression, a greater emphasis on enjoying childhood rather than rushing out of it as quickly as possible, a greater level of single-generation economic mobility, our own unique (if a bit immature - but then we are an adolescent as countries go) cuture, and a greater (albeit still incomplete) acceptance of outsiders such as immigrants and visitors from other nations. I'm not too fond of our current administration and their war agenda, but other than that America's not a terribly bad place to live, and living here isn't much of a deterrent for appreciating other cultures.
And yes, America's done some really ugly things over the last few hundred years, both under British and our own government, but we're hardly alone on that one, especially considering Japan's actions in Asia before we ever got tangled up in the pacific war, in which both countries did a lot of things that are best not repeated. Love whatever culture fits you best, but realise that Utopia is called such because there really is "no land" on Earth which is free of defects. And some things can not be made true by declaring them to be the case, unless my now stating that 2 + 2 = 5 means that Elementary schools worldwide need to change their math curriculum, and my stating that I am 21 and not 19 means I no longer have to worry about being carded at the liquer store (not that I drink, but for the sake of illustration). In two years, I can truthfully say that I am 21, and when you move to Japan you can truthfully hail from there, but in the mean time...
Off topic, but hey - I did mention the guides, which really are important.

I know all that and more, I am not stupid or naive (even though it might seem so) and I'm not sleeping in history-classes.
My repinion is my repinion and you all have your own so let's not continue with this, shall we? It's always so nice to know that there are people with repinions about this kind of thing. Usually nobody cares. But really, all I wanted to know is how to put my amv's here.
Hai, hai, America isn't SO bad, but I still love Japan no matter what. And if I couldn't go there for some reason it's ok to stay in my home-country Finland (not comercial), it's peaceful, I can build my own dojo here as well as in Japan and it is warm enough to grow some sakura no ki's in here.
Getting more interesting all this, Iii'm sooorryyy
There are at least two things I hate about America, and they are dubbed episodes of anime and people who spread them in the internet without writing in it that it's a dub (usually those people are american, well, I don't now any italian who would do that).
Most frustrating thing to download something and find out that it's dubbed...
And in Japan I hate that there are japanese in Irak and they get themselves captured (NO!) Go home! It brakes my heart when I wait scared...
Interesting really. I am so happy that you react to this kind of thing. So happy, really.

I have heard it's a nice place - I had a friend who went there for a year and half recently (originally planned to stay for nine months, decided to hang around for a bit longer once the locals finally warmed up to his presence and, so he claims, horribly mispronounced Japanese). Of course, I've heard Finland has a pretty nice social climate as well - though I had no idea you could actually get cherry trees to grow that far north (they seem to have a hard time in my home state of New Hampshire, but then there could be other factors in the climate I'm not thinking of). I actually considered appying to the Helsinki University of Technology for their Acoustics and Audio Signal Processing program, but realized it wouldn't be terribly practical to try living in a country whose primarily language was a complete unknown to me.
Iraq's a mess in general right now. I'm not sure whether Saddam or Bush (Jr. or Sr.) is more at fault, but I can't wait until the occupation's over either.
And yes, I suppose I am yet one more Amerocentric fool assuming that everyone typing in English on the internet is an American. Makes me wonder how the English feel about the matter...

Wow, we've got a real winner here folks. The world of AMV's gets more "interesting" each time we get a new enthusiast.kawaii_baka_neko wrote:No, it's not that. I don't have any limits made by other people or anything like that, so if I say that I am from Japan, then I am, say what ever you like. Me being what ever I want to be isn't any concern of others thank you very much. If someone has a problem with my way of thinking that's not my problem. I love Japan more than anything. It's my heaven, my paradise. When I can go there I'll never ever leave from there. I'll protect my country even after I die.the Black Monarch wrote:Translation: "Not really, I'm just a wannabe"

I am serious so no laughing.
I'll send you a card from there if you think that my repinion will change or anything like that.
As a side note, I think the word you are looking for is "opinion" instead of "repinion".
