Re: Editable + storeable format?
I was going to ignore his whole post, but he was being so smart that I thought I should sigh back.
By commercial anime, I was thinking of the few that are known by basically everyone around the globe. The ones that get the big hype.
And the entire rest of my post is only directed at one person so why you bothered to quote it is beyond me. Besides how can I be trolling my own thread? It looks like though that it still not clear what I asked there...simple question though. Does anyone have DVDs? I DON'T THINK SO and that was the point. Who said anything about sharing...
But enough about me and this thread. Didn't get the answers I was looking for, but a person can't always get what he wants.

Look, you complained that the quality of your videos is not that great. I told you a number of possible reasons WHY it's probably not that great. Like it or not, that's the reality.

WAT.

Re: Editable + storeable format?
That's the method I use as well for any anime series, when I'm not able to use dvds. I go through the episodes searching for the scene I want to use, find it, convert it to a lossless format (lagarith, for example) then import it to my editing program of choice and use it.The Origonal Head Hunter wrote:"Don't use downloaded footage" aside, I'd recommend that instead of converting full episodes you convert small clips in lossless format with VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod. For the last thing I edited I used a 26 episode series and needed around 7gb in total (including the lossless export of the video itself I think) with this method. But really, don't expect to convert whole episodes to the point where they're 250mb each and have good quality (at least not in a format you can edit with)..
When using dvds, it's MUCH less of a pain though - working with .d2v's (a.k.a. using a whole dvd consuming up to 4-5gb without spending almost any encoding time) is perfect. So they're highly recommended either way.

Well I find converting it like that works rather well with Bait and Swap. But I don't use effects so yeah.Cast to Stone wrote: But really, don't expect to convert whole episodes to the point where they're 250mb each and have good quality (at least not in a format you can edit with)..
And the reason why I said
Is because I've seen only seen a few Naruto AMVs that I actually like. The vast majority of the Naruto videos are created by noobs who have no idea what they are doing. Not forgetting of course that the majority of AMVs on this site are worthless. Yes there are alot of good videos though.hasteroth wrote:rant about using Naruto to make an AMV aside.
Naruto videos usually follow the same lines as LinkinBallZ etc.
If you actually make a good video with Naruto then kudos to you. If not, which rankly I think is more likely, then I'm wasting my time.

Btw for the older naruto episodes it would probably be smarter to try to find a way to get the DVD's since dattebayo released those in not so good quality unlike the new naruto shippuden eps wich have pretty decent quality.

Re: Editable + storeable format?
Does anyone have a good, informative, useful rendition of an answer?
It'd be nice to have a stack of resources on my computer that arent gigabytes each after conversion... [just got a 6gb video file from once 267mb for some reason >.>]
