I never would use the automovie feature either unless my family knew what was up about editing. I don't want to waste time editing Christmas the automovie is great for that

I never could see putting Christmas to music anyway. All people are going to do is talk over it, pointing at how cute the kids look.

yeah I really don't see the point of the music video thing unless you're a lazy ass who starts a Karaoke Music Video company and you don't want to do anywork, I mainly use the other automovie functions I just tested it out one day for kicks and was impressed

Why I like WMM:

WMM is *VERY* easy to use. Aside from that, for creating a simple vid, it's fine.

Honestly, if you aren't doing fancy effects or that jazz, and just want to have your video cut with the music, WMM is great. A good beginner's tool, and i should know that...
Now I just have to learn Premeir. X_X

Sure, it's great. Unless you like stability. Or unless you like a program actually doing everything you're suppossed to be able to do with it.

Well i'm still sort of a noob - however i think with AVISynth, VirtualDubMod and WMM you can make quite some nice effects... Use your immagination you know... And the only time WMM went bezerk on me is when i tried to load up a big file... so now i'm using AVISynth & VirtualDubMod to cut it into pieces and get it the size i like, and then get some extra effects with WMM - since it's easyer cutting and pasting from frame to frame with WMM - and then get it back into VDM&AVS to do the final editing!
Well... so far for my 2 dimes... For an amateur it works!

Awesome, because I love instability : )
I'm sure you already know, but not everyone has the cash to buy Adobe's software. Personally, I do have the program, and yes, it is a legal copy.
I don't want to get into any debates or the like, I'm just stating a fact. What fact is that? The fact that I like WMM.
Even if I knew how, I wouldn't make an effects video. I just like videos that synch with the music and match the lyrics. That's all for now.

What i actually ment is that you can very easily see frame after frame in WMM, making it easyer to exactly cut a scene out.

you actually can see frame for frame in WMM you can only see every .07 seconds and when making a music video sometimes that isn't slow enough
