Thanks all for the reply. Since I have no idea how to edit with .avs scripts, I'll just have to stick with Xvid or lagarith if it's a small series. I do have enough hard drive space for one to two lossless 13/14 episode series, but for my current CCS project, I guess it will have to be crappy. :D

...Besides, like someone said before, who would want to convert 70 episodes into lagarith? That might take close to a month. (exaggerated)

This thread proved to be more helpful than many guides that just told you not to edit in Xvid. I'll think about getting an external HD, since money is a bit short for now. At least I learned about lagarith.
