No... the link on the first page takes you to a page that says
A&E's Technical Guides to All Things Audio and Video
The beta guides have now become the actual guides on the site, please go to the new avtech guides page.
... but THAT takes you to the old mk 2 guide.

?!?!

Are we talking about the same link ( http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtechbeta ) ? Because I just tried it in three different browsers, and they all took me right to EADFAG mk III. I didn't see that message you posted at all.

Try clearing your browser's cache melee. I was having that problem, just cleared my cache and it worked fine after that

No, since the vast majority of amvs do not need subtitles. You can use the save batch feature under the advanced tab to edit the command line to add subtitles if you want.
