Filter for Frame Blending?
I'm trying to clean up some DVD footage I ripped, and have noticed that the footage has some pretty nasty looking frame blending. I would basically just like to know if there's an AviSynth filter that deals with frame blending like this.

Re: Filter for Frame Blending?
It could either be caused by the IVTC filter screwing up and doing poor matches/post-processing, or it could really be in the source. If it's the latter, there's not much that can be done, if anything. If it's the former, then it can be by either using a better IVTC filter (or better settings, at least), or if you're masochistic, YATTA (where you'll do the frame matching manually and then use the overrides file with your IVTC filter).

What Qyot27 said, and it's a longshot, but you could also try AnimeIVTC using mode 2. I don't normally recommend it because the script uses some filters that often wash out detail (also it's a complete pain in the ass to setup...and it's slow...), but I have had success with some bad sources (GTO and the original Dirty Pair OVA releases) that had some light after imaging going on (not quite full frame blending) using that script...I never really looked into why though (I suppose I should go back and look now that I know AviSynth better...lol).

If it's PAL, you're out of luck. If it's NTSC, just deinterlace and use changefps(23.976)
