Recommended Specs for After Effects?
Could anyone give me some insight on what specifications I should have to fluently run After Effects? I wanted to switch over from Vegas, but my computer is getting the meat.
Windows 8 (64-Bit)
Intel Core i5 @ 3.20 GHZ
8 GB Ram
What do you guys have?

I don't know how much gpu factors into the program but with an i5 and 8gb of ram you should be ok. Just make sure your PC is in good shape. I recommend using Advanced System Care + Malware Bytes, the free versions of both of these programs will get your computer working great!. I don't use AE much but my specs are as follows
Windows 10
gtx 960 2gb
Amd FX 8320 @ 3.5 @GHZ
12 gb of ram (RIP 4 gb of ram that died last month)

Same as this except Windows 10. All you need is an HD monitor, AE shall be quite fluidTsiahiv wrote: Windows 8 (64-Bit)

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check into those and download ASAP. That's a pretty nice setup you got! Wow. Hmm, well I guess I just need to clean up my PC a bit then. By the way, is that Alisa in your Signature? Are you planning to get tekken 7?

Nice, do you specialize in hardware? Also, I meant to tell you a while back that I saw your Evangelion AMV. It was good, you should stick with your projects more, if not for the outcome then at least for the experience. How good is that show by the way? I'm not necessarily a mech fan, but it seems interesting.

I am still a senor in highschool but I know my way around a computer! It would be easier to talk about eva in a chat so feel free to add me on steam or something! I am down to beta test any videos and I am getting a group together to do just that via steam.Tsiahiv wrote:Nice, do you specialize in hardware? Mos def! Actually, I was going to say the same thing about the beta testing and I just tried to send a friend quest. Lol, it literally said I need to spend at least $5 to have friends, I'm done!!
