Cant hear any sound in AE

When i import audio onto AE 6.5, i hear no sound. I tried mp3 and wav., but get still the same. It worked before, but now it dont. I wish i could give more detail.

Are your speakers on?

Is there a problem with the sound card?

Did you recently install any audio codec?

Yeah, my speaker is on

I dont think theres a problem with my sound card, becuase i hear music all the time on my comp and i tried seeing if my adobe premier had any problems and it didnt.

Then the next step would be reinstalling AE.
