OGM audio only

Post by BlaCk_PeArL_27 » Mon Jan 15, 2007 2:06 pm

This is my first time to having problem in audio. I have a OGM File (song/music) and it's Unknown application. I try to open it in VDub/Mod it's not working also I have a window audio converter but this one is not accepting. So I try to open in Media Player (but not in WMP 11) and it's playing.

I'm running out of idea so I choose to post here if any one know how to convert or open this app. in my prog. it really helps me to remove the bone in my neck :D

one more, thing don't ask me to get any other prog to convert the song in other file format. my only concern to this is by opening it in my current player wmp 11 that's all.
Don't be asshaul to answer my post problem!!!

VirtualDubMod should handle OGM files fine. What happens when you try to open it there?

I open the vdub but it can't locate my ogm audio and I just press ALL files to open it and this what I get

Code: Select all

Cannot detect file type of "C:\Document and Settings\Owner\Desktop\(folders name blah blah)\(name of the song blah blah)-easymp3s.ogg".
And I wondering what the problem to that? I got huffyuv and lagarith and other stuff just to convert it. I think there is other stuff that I don't know on this vdub, ehh :-/

Oh, wait. I missed the "song/audio" part; I thought you were dealing with an OGM file.

For clarity:
OGM files are Ogg Media, and that usually implies a video stream.
OGG files (what you have) are just plain old Ogg Vorbis audio files.

I suggest getting a program like OggDropXP (it's available from the Ogg Vorbis website) to decode your OGG file to an uncompressed .WAV, which almost everything should be able to handle.

ok now I download 3x to see the software to change it and all of 'em are same ~.~ to me. I try this "oggdropXPd V.1.8.9 using aoTuVb5" and I don't know to use it. Do you have any idea?

I'm still looking on how to work this but I can't figure it out on how to change .ogg to .wav as you say.

i think audacity also supports ogg so you can try that if you already have it.
