yea, how do I get the best quality of music and stuff in vegas? 8-)

Rip your source audio straight off the CD/DVD/whatever to uncompressed. Import it to Vegas still uncompressed. Export it from Vegas uncompressed.

Though really, this same principle applies to any non-linear editor, not just Vegas.
