Working with footage obtained from Itunes

Post by O Sliggity Slice » Mon Feb 12, 2007 4:03 pm

The Itunes music store has something that I want that hasn't been released on DVD yet. Apple uses a stupid proprietary format, but I might be able to convert it to an .avi file and maybe even a lossless one. Does anyone have any insight on using footage obtained this way?

Choose your qualifiers carefully. Hasn't been released yet? or hasn't been released in your country yet?

Just hasn't been released yet and probably won't be until the fall.

You can convert MP4's with DVD Copy Platinum 5.

Currently, iTunes video purchases are a bust. The only solutions are essentially screencap programs, if I understand correctly. Once the things can be decrypted though it'll be a piece of cake, seeing as how MP4 (in iTunes' case, I'm guessing most are H.264+AAC, although there might be some Part 2+AAC ones floating around) can be manipulated effortlessly with AviSynth.
