Audio Recording System

I was wondering if anyone knew a free and easy to use program that can record from a mic nothing fancy just the basics to get the job done. Thank you to anyone that can help me.

Try clicking "Start" ---> "Run"

Type in "sndrec32" and enter.

I know about that recorder I was just hoping for something a little more efficent ( in lack of a better word).
