cant get subtitles on in DVD Decryptor, DVD2AVI, VirtualDub?

Post by CapnFoo » Sat Sep 22, 2007 12:43 pm

I've got the FLCL dvd that has all 6 eps on one dvd, but can't figure out how to turn subtitles on (not for making amv btw). I go through the 3 programs listed above but can't find the option in any of them.

How else are you going to get them into a usable form so that you can mux or hardsub them in when you encode the video?

I was under the impression there was something ffdshow could do with hard-coding softsubs all in one step - or at least someone was trying to convince me of that the other day... might have been blowing smoke up my ass though. =/ Why anyone would want to hard sub something when they have a soft-subbed source is beyond me though.

And I got it from here:

I didn't think it was bootleg but I guess at that price it is?

The price, yes, but also the fact that it's region-free, has Spanish subtitles, and is manufactured by "Mac" (you ever heard of them before?).
