Best (free) videoediting software

Hi community!

I look fo a legal way to make AMVs!
But I want to make some good ones (I know you can make good ones with WMM)

Can u give me some advice?

from what I know most "free" programs aren't very "powerful" editors... however with a bit of shopping around you can find some good ones at some decent prices :3

there are cheaper (going down to free) programs further down the list

--you can spend your $500 on an external HD... which is good to have BTW.

.. Vegas 6.0 Pro, Ulead Video Studio Pro 11 Plus, Magix MEP 10 thru 12 + a good hard drive; these days, less than $300.00 .. .. .. or suffer with a useless Free single line editer and do nothing but get upset and frustrated!
