Codec help: I have none

My question: is there just a package of codecs, preferably for microsuck XP that you can download somewhere on the internet?

.. oh yeah, there are ton's of them .. however, only a few ever seem to work for everybody! The most useful packages are the hardest to set-up.

.. XP & Vista Packs are the best

.. I prefer the Old Stand-by FFDshowCLI but many prefer the CCCP one because it helps Media Player. .. it all depends on what your trying to do with them.
