Basically this is a general question towards the use of linux with things like the adobe CS3 suite and the development progress of a UI for AVI synth.
I know that last time I was at the forum (a while ago now) oftheages was looking to find a way to get adobe suites to run on linux. I wanted to know if anyone is currenlty using any of the packages form productin premium on there? I am currently playing with WINE to run photoshop and am interested in the GNOME based linux OS's so any feedback on that would be great. Also I see that alot of people have been asking for freeware nle, i was wondering on the progress of celluloid, which i thin will be for mac osx or any other open source nle with C++ using AVIsynth.

sorry for the double post
sorry for the bad spelling
please can we not have a debate whether there is a need for a AVIsynth GUI just what is happening with any development. Cheers.

There is not really much of any progress in porting avisynth to linux, as far as I know. Avisynth 3.0 is the codebase which would support linux, but 3.0 has been in the works for YEARS and has still yet to really see a release. There is still much more development going on for Avisynth 2.x than there is with 3. I wouldn't hold your breath for anything before maybe 2010 or 2012 :p
As far an an NLE based on avisynth, there is also nothing significant happening there.
