WMM to 640X480 and deinterlace

Post by digifreak » Sat Jul 12, 2008 5:42 pm

I have some videos I did on WMM and I saved them as DV-AVIs. How do I get them deinterlaced and into 4:3 aspect ratio?

No. Just parts that are sped up get interlaced. One of my friends did it for me once, but he never showed me how.

that doesn't make much sense, but if you are compressing in virtualdub mod + Avisynth like the guides show you... just toss in the right filters

crop(0,0,-0,-0)

can take off the black edges if you have any.. (Left,top,right,bottom) in pixels.
then use this to make it the "right shape" for 4:3

LanczosResize(640,480)

I'm not sure if deinterlacing would be the same post production as it is pre production (where you should initially deinterlace)... but

fielddeinterlace()

is a filter you can try, you can also use the VDM's internal deinterlace video filter. I'm sure that there are better filters out there, but yea.
