the video is all skippy

whenever i try and play certain videos the music and video will skip and around and lag kinda like if your playing an online game with a bad connection, or trying to play a CD with a scratch on it. Can anyone think of a way to fix this please help >.<

what codec and container are the videos in, and what player are you using?

i've been using real player. but im not sure about to codec and and container though

container is usually what is at the end of the file like .avi .wmv .mp4
codec is the video/audio compression...

try something like VLC player or KM player and see if the playback is better...
