Avisynth/AmvAPP Vista problems

Is there a version of AmvApp or avi synth that works properly with vista? Ever since I upgraded I haven't been able to load or create avisynth scrips the easy way like I use to when DGIndex created them. AMVApp won't even install correctly. So I'm a bit stumped now as how to get my vob files into the digital codecs that I need. The old way isn't working anymore because I can't seem to get the software to work right with Vista.

Any solutions?

its known that the tests fail on vista, but the apps still work...
