Separate the voice from the frame and from the BGM.

Post by Bunkaru » Thu Oct 23, 2008 5:46 am

Hi~

I'm currently working on an AMV and want to do the following thing:

Separate a character's voice in a clip from the clip itself for putting the speech in another scene. Also, if possible, I'd like to take ONLY the voice, 'cause there is a BGM at the same moment, too. It would suck to have both the AMV's music and the Anime's BGM at the same time.

I'm using VirtualDubMod for cutting clips and Windows Movie Maker for editing.

Please help.

the quick answer is there is no easy way to do it.

if its stereo, then most commonly the vocals are mixed in both channels.

surround audio is easier(although still not very easy) because vocals are typically in the center channl, so removing center channel would be effective at removing the majority of the voice.

Allright, then, if I can't separate the voice from the BGM, can I at least separate both together from the scene and put it in another scene ?
