Best recording Software for Voice?

Post by pinky75910 » Thu Oct 23, 2008 6:12 pm

Hey folks, I totally checked the guides, and I could not find anything about recording software for recording a live voice or sound. In good ol XP, I had Sound Recorder and it served my purposes well. In Vista, for some unexplained reason, Sound Recorder has been downgraded to having only one on/off switch and no other powers. I've tried Audacity but the saving practices seem overly complicated. Can anyone recommend something I can download that'll let me just record and playback in decent quality? Something simple for saving and previewing a lot of takes in a row?

Thanks
