Can't hear my audio

Post by unsunghero316 » Mon Feb 02, 2009 2:30 pm

So I'm having a problem. I am using the song "An ancient story" from the legend of dragoon soundtrack to make an AMV using Windows Movie Maker. After downloading the song I tried to test it and the song did not play. However, when I went and clicked on the track bar near the beginning of the song, the audio began playing.

I began to suspect that it was just something to do with Windows Movie Maker being absolutely stupid. However, once I was finished and had turned the movie into a WMV file, the audio still wasn't there, and no amount of tracking could bring it back.

My question is, is there a way to get the audio to play in Windows Movie Maker? Or should I just try redoing the project in Sony Vegas when I get it?

Thank you in advance for your time :)

Sounds like the song is in a format WMM doesn't handle correctly (if at all). One of the pitfalls of downloaded music (legal and otherwise), is that the come in forms not particularly suited for editing. These include MP3, AAC (MP4, M4A, M4P, 3GP), OGG, FLAC, and Monkey's Audio (APE).

Convert your audio to an uncompressed WAV file, load it into WMM, edit with it (or replace your existing audio with the WAV version, keeping all your video edits) and all should be fine.

Read this for help in converting the audio: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... dio3c.html

Hi,
It is not a fault of your windows movie maker but your songs downloading problem.Whenever you should downloading the songs at that time you should not stop your downloading and pause your downloading. So that your songs should not have specific content. And whenever you should downloaded songs at that time your song extension must be in correct formats.
Thanks for sharing this information.
