Everytime I click on the Virtural Dub Mod icon, I get an error message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Run Time Library
Program: C:/Program Files/VirtualDubMOD/VirtualDubMod.exe
abnormal program termination
1)Ive tried to delete it and reinstall it, but it's not doing anything. Any idea what could cause this?
2)I also read in another topic that I had to delete some plugins from AVIsynth 2.5 called warpsharp.dll and setmemorymax.avsi but that didn't do me any good either.
3)I had the other version 1.5.10.2 and it was working fine until this morning, so I figured I should get the newer verion 1.5.10.3 and I still have the same problem. Should I try to uninstall the codecs or something? I got everything from http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... mvapp.html
The only difference is I got a newer version of FDD show because I had problems playing music.
If all else fails, Can someone recommend me another program?

Re: Virtual Dub Mod won't open
VirtualDubMod is pretty old by now, I'd suggest you get the latest stable of VirtualDub. It's a bit different from mod, but considering that it's newer, it is better.
Also, you'll want to follow the final version of the guide, that you can find here. It comes with a newer amvapp, which has newer applications. You'll want to uninstall the older amvapp first, though.

ah, thanks! I did and it works now. But now Im having two other problems.mirkosp wrote:mirkosp
One is that the only program I can't seem to install is the Lame ACM Codec 3.98.2.
And Also, when I ripped the VOB from my dvd, it doesn't accept the format in Virtual Dub because it says MPEG Import Filter : Invalid Pack at position 3: Marker Bit not set; Possibly MPEG- 2 Stream.
sorry If I sound dumb, Im kinda new at ripping dvds
I looked at the amv tutorials and the Ripping dvd tutorial, but I get confused and lost sometimes.

Go to C:\Program Files\VirtualDub and check to see if there's a folder called Plugins32 in there - if there is, check if a file named MPEG2.vdplugin is in that folder. If neither the folder or the file (or whatever) aren't there, then create a folder with that name and then download the plugin from here:unluckycharms54 wrote:ah, thanks! I did and it works now. Unzip it, and place the plugin in the Plugins32 folder. While you're at it, you could also snag the WMV and AC3 plugins too.
That said, though, you really should use AviSynth to open it rather than VDub.
