continuous errors while creating avi's with Lagarith
At first, the process went smoothly, but now I keep getting errors just as it's about to finish with a file. Part of the file still seems to work ok, but I keep losing the ends of episodes, and it's getting really annoying. There's no reason for it that I can see. What's going on? Is there any way for me to fix this? At first it was just 1 episode that went badly, but now they all are. What can I do?

Never mind, I figured out the problem. My hard drive, while not FAT32 formatted, can't accept files bigger than 4GB. That's why it would get almost to the end, and then error out. I easily solved the problem by cutting the episode files in half.
You (the almighty guidemakers) may want to add this error into the guide, because I bet it's a common problem, and although it has an easy solution, it's hard to figure out why you're erroring out when it doesn't tell you the reason.
But all's good now!

No no, I'm NOT fat32 formatted. I'm NTFS. Yeah. Sorry, I thought I said that. No, I just got my drive last week and it's a new 500GB one, but it still has the 4GB limit. The FAT32, I believe, has a 2GB limit. That's why I thought you might want to add the error information, because it's a new drive, but still has that limit.Kariudo wrote:FAT32 is kinda old, usually you'll find most people have NTFS volumes instead of FAT32
but yeah, the 4GB file limit for FAT32 filesystems is pretty well known
