zarx264gui is not making a file

My problem is basically the same as the one in this thread except I don't always get the error message. Considering how frustratingly unhelpful the thread was, I think this issue needs to be tackled once more. How was the problem solved?

The problem is zarx just plain doesn't make a file. It does the encode and everything appears to work fine. But, no mp4. Empty folder. When I do a file search it does find a shortcut to the file but the file itself is non-existent.

Are u using Vista?Or did u change from XP>Vista or Vista>Win7?And what version of Zarx are u using?
