If the FourCC is DIVX or DX50, it should be able to be played under OpenDivX (DivX 4/5) for the former and DivX 5 for the latter.

Because it looks and works better than XviD for many people, and in many cases removing DivX's adware (aka "Gone in 60 Seconds") is easier than dealing with all of XviD's hassles?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that you can get DivX for free without downloading spyware in the first place, as long as it's not Pro?

As if cops are going to bust into your house for deleting the GAIN crap. Puh-lease.
