Interesting Lagarith Lossless Trait

Post by DJ_Izumi » Mon Oct 23, 2006 7:31 am

I dunno if anyone has noticed this so I thought I'd report it.

With my current work in progress, I've been using a lot of alpha layered video exports from Premiere 6.5 and AE7. Both programs do NOT recognise that Lagarith can do RGB+A support unless Lagarith's current output setting is set to RGBA when the programs are started. So if Lagarith is set to RGB, P6.5 and AE7 will refuse to export with alpha even if you go in and change the setting on Lagarith to RGBA. They will not notice that Lagarith is RGBA capable unless you exit either program and restart them while Lagarith is currently set to RGBA.

I think this was fixed in newer versions.

Recently I came up against the same problems encoding Negima (using an alpha channel video for logos and stuff and overlaying in avisynth).

I simply resorted to using uncompressed but it was about 10GB for 6 minutes :|
