1. Make d2vs of your VOBS
2. Write an AviSynth script that does the following to that d2v:
a) resizes
b) deinterlaces
c) any other visual cleanup
3. Import script into VDM
4. Export from VDM as Huffy
There shouldn't be some weird in-between step using Windows Movie Maker. You need to convert to Huffy before you touch your editing program.
So I have a 1.21 GB AVi

If I'm reading him correctly, Ozzie's "weird in-between step" is actually editing the AMV.Shazzy wrote:1. Make d2vs of your VOBS

Then exporting DV from WMM, then converting THAT to HuffYUV in VDM, and so on.

Ozzie, why are you converting to huffy after you export your finished video?

Okay, sorry, brain is not working today.
You want to edit your video in WMM.
You don't want a WMV as your final export, you want to create an AVI in VDM, is that it?

I'm with ya so far.
I Imported my Huffy AVI's into WMM.
They work FINE.
I took a random selection of said clips and threw them into WMM. I wanted to see if everything would process correctly for me before I started heavy duty editing.
I have run into 2 issues:
1. The right hand side of some of my Utena clips have the graphic issues in the pictures i provided a few posts back.
2. I make the project into a 1.21 GB AVI file and it's like I never deinterlaced anything. (Conversly, if I make it a WMV using Scintilla's codec thingy for WMM, it looks much better.)
When it comes to issue #1: I asked if throwing this video back into VDM and croping it off ever so slightly might be the way to go. The answer I got was "probably". My next question was "What should I make my freshly cropped video in VDM?" Meaning: Should I export it(being my freshly cropped video) again as a HuffyAVI File or what?
Then I had issue #2. So I have now been asking, do I need to rerun a script that will do the cropping from issue #1 and the deinterlacing from Issue#2?
Or should I just give up and make it a WMV?
